Straight leg canopies have vertical support legs that maximize the usable space under the canopy - a 10' x 10' straight leg canopy provides a full 100 sq ft of coverage. Slant leg canopies have angled legs that slope inward toward the top, reducing the effective coverage area on a 10' x 10' slant leg frame to 64 sq ft (8' x 8'). On the plus side, slant leg canopy tents are lighter weight with increased portability, and typically offer more stability in wind.

The duty ratings reflect differences in frame materials, fabric quality, and construction. Light Duty models use lighter-gauge tubing and fabrics, while Medium and Heavy Duty canopies feature stronger, oversized frame construction and upgraded weather-resistant fabrics for pop-up tents. Light Duty canopies are ideal for occasional use in sunny, mild conditions and offer the advantage of being lighter and easier to transport. Medium Duty models are designed for weekly use with enhanced durability, while Heavy Duty canopies are built for daily commercial use with the strongest construction and longest warranty coverage.

Vented canopy tops feature strategically placed openings that allow wind to pass through for reduced uplift pressure underneath the canopy, which lowers wind stress on the frame and improves stability in breezy conditions. The venting also increases airflow underneath the canopy for enhanced comfort on hot days. Non-vented tops offer better all-weather protection in inclement weather, while vented tops for canopy tents are generally recommended for areas with frequent wind or when enhanced airflow is desired.

Start by selecting level ground without overhead obstructions, remove the E-Z UP canopy from its bag, and open the frame by slightly lifting each corner and walking it out. Place one hand on top of each corner and firmly push up the corner connector until it locks with a solid click - it sometimes helps to roll the fabric top up partway to secure the corners. Finally, extend the legs to your desired height and properly anchor to the ground with stakes and/or weights. Most E-Z UP pop-up canopy tents can be set up by 1-2 people thanks to innovative features like E-Z Glide^™ Leg Adjusters and Auto Lock & Release corners. Larger canopy sizes (10' x 15' or bigger) and Heavy Duty models may require 2-3 people due to additional weight. In windy conditions, 3-4 people may be necessary to ensure safe setup regardless of canopy size.

Most E-Z UP canopy tents can be set up in 60 seconds or less. Our trademark one-piece pop-up frame design enables fast, convenient deployment without the need for tools or complicated assembly, making it ideal for quick setups at events or outdoor gatherings.

Yes! Securing your canopy tent is essential for safety. Always use anchoring - either ground stakes for grass/dirt surfaces or weight bags/plates for sand, concrete, or other hard surfaces. Weight requirements vary by canopy size and conditions - our canopy weight bags start at 22 pounds per leg for smaller canopies in mild conditions, with heavier weights and Heavy Duty Stake Kits recommended for larger models or windier conditions. Always monitor weather conditions and use more weight or take down your canopy if winds increase, and do not leave your canopy tent unattended while set up.

Takedown is the reverse of setup. Remove any sidewalls or accessories first, then lower each leg completely. Disengage each corner with the Auto Lock & Release pull pin - it sometimes helps to roll the fabric top up partway to expose the pull pin for easier release. Grasp the upper trusses at the center of the frame and pull upward while pushing the corners together to fully close the frame, gently lifting and shaking if needed to help it collapse. Be sure to give your E-Z UP canopy tent a big hug to squeeze it fully closed before placing it in the carrying bag, making sure it's completely dry before storing.

Note: If you wish to maximize the lifespan and appearance of your canopy top, you should remove the top from the frame before folding it fully closed for storage.

E-Z UP offers convenient, high-quality roller bags for canopies that make transport effortless - either included with your canopy or available as an optional accessory. Our genuine E-Z UP roller bags are specifically designed to fit E-Z UP canopy tents for optimal performance and protection. Select Medium and Heavy Duty models include a cover bag for storage and protection during transport, and a dolly or cart can be helpful for moving these more robust canopies when using the cover bag rather than the optional roller bag.

E-Z UP canopy tops offer varying levels of water resistance depending on fabric grade and intended use. Light Duty canopies feature Duralon^® woven poly tops with DWR coatings to repel light, brief rain showers. For enhanced water protection, consider our Medium and Heavy Duty canopies with Duralon PLUS and Duralon PRO fabric tops designed to resist leakage in moderate rain for 1-2 hours. If 100% waterproof canopy performance is needed, our Duralon X2O canopy tops and sidewalls utilize ripstop vinyl fabric with welded seams to completely seal out water.

E-Z UP canopies can provide varying levels of protection from rain showers, depending on the category and product features. Light Duty canopies are best suited for sunny, mild conditions and will provide limited rain protection. Medium and Heavy Duty models feature upgraded fabric and construction designed to withstand moderate rainfall for up to 2 hours, but only vinyl canopy tops and sidewalls are fully waterproof. Always avoid using your canopy tent during heavy rain, thunderstorms, or severe weather for safety reasons. Ensure your canopy is properly pitched to allow water runoff and never leave standing water on the fabric.

E-Z UP canopies can handle light to moderate winds when properly anchored, but should not be used in strong winds, storms, or severe weather. Always monitor weather conditions and take down your canopy if winds exceed safe levels for your specific model. When securely anchored to the ground, Light Duty canopy tents are suitable for mild to breezy conditions, Medium Duty models can withstand moderate sustained winds, and Heavy Duty canopies are the most stable option overall. Proper anchoring with stakes or weights is crucial for wind resistance for all canopy tents, and never leave your canopy tent unattended while set up.

Wind ratings vary by model and duty level. Light Duty canopies are designed for calm to light wind conditions (up to 10-15 mph when properly anchored). Medium Duty models can handle moderate winds up to 20-25 mph with proper anchoring, and Heavy Duty models are designed to withstand wind speeds of 25-30 mph with proper anchoring on level ground. However, we always recommend taking down your canopy if winds become gusty or exceed these guidelines.

E-Z UP canopy tops and sidewalls incorporate flame resistant fabrics that meet CPAI-84 & NFPA-701 fire resistant standards, with additional certifications for fire resistance on select commercial and professional grade products. First, always choose a flat, level spot to set up your canopy tent. For grass or firm dirt surfaces, you can secure each foot of the canopy leg using ground stakes for canopies driven at a 45-degree angle away from the canopy. For loose dirt/sand or hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt, use weight bags or weight plates with at least 22 pounds per leg and add more weight for larger canopy sizes or increased wind as needed.

Clean your canopy top fabric with mild soap and water using a soft brush or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before storing. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or pressure washing which can damage the fabric coating. For stubborn stains, you may use a fabric-safe outdoor cleaner suitable for textiles such as Simple Green, but avoid concentrated formulations.

Always ensure your canopy is completely dry before storing to prevent mold and mildew. Store in the included carrying bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing in extreme temperatures. Periodic canopy storage inspections help identify any issues early and avoid surprises when ready to use next.

Inspect your canopy before each use for wear or damage and always store completely dry in a cool, dark, and dry location. Avoid over-tightening fabric and never drag the canopy across rough surfaces. Following the setup and takedown instructions properly also extends product life. To maximize the lifespan and appearance of your canopy top, remove the top and fold it carefully before storing the frame separately in its bag.

We recommend using only waterproofing treatments designed for outdoor canopy fabrics and testing on a small, inconspicuous area first. Some treatments may affect the fabric's breathability or appearance. When in doubt, contact our customer service team for specific product recommendations that won't void your warranty.

E-Z UP replacement parts are designed specifically for E-Z UP frames and may not be compatible with other brands. Frame dimensions, connection points, and hardware can vary significantly between manufacturers. We recommend using genuine E-Z UP parts on genuine E-Z UP canopies for proper fit and continued warranty coverage.

The model information is typically found on a label attached to the upper corner of the frame. It may also be listed in your original documentation or receipt. If you can't locate this information, contact our customer service team with photos of your canopy and they can help identify your model.

The warranty for each product varies depending on the model or type of product. Warranty coverage includes defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including frame construction issues, hardware failures, and fabric defects. Warranty support may include replacement parts to address specific component issues. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, normal wear and tear, weather damage, or failure to follow setup instructions. Fading and minor fabric stretching are considered normal wear and are not covered under warranty.

To file a warranty claim, go to this link or contact our Customer Service team with your purchase information, model number, and description of the issue. Photos or video of the problem are helpful. We'll guide you through the warranty process and determine the best resolution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund.

Most warranty claims are processed within 5-10 business days once we receive all required information and documentation. Replacement products typically ship within 2-3 business days after claim approval. Complex cases requiring additional review may take longer.

E-Z UP warranties are generally not transferable and apply only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. The warranty begins from the original purchase date. Used or second-hand products are not covered under our warranty program.

E-Z UP does not offer extended warranties or service plans currently.

High-resolution digital files work best. Vector files (AI, EPS) are preferred, but high-quality JPGs or PNGs (300 DPI minimum) can also work. Email your files to our custom graphics team or upload them through our Upload Your Artwork page. Our team will review your artwork and let you know if any adjustments are needed.

Graphics can cover the entire canopy top with edge-to-edge digital sublimation or positioned in specific areas according to your specifications. We will work with you to determine the best size and placement for maximum impact while maintaining the canopy's functionality. Our state-of-the-art printing technology allows for nearly photo-realistic resolution with extraordinary vibrance, but very small text or intricate details may not reproduce well on fabric.

Custom printing typically takes 10 business days or less for production, plus shipping time. Please note the production clock starts only after the order is submitted and the design is approved by the customer. 48-Hour Rush processing is available for an additional fee. We'll provide a target delivery date when you place your order and keep you updated throughout the production process.

Unfortunately, we cannot add graphics to existing canopy tops. Custom printing must be done during the manufacturing process. However, we can create a custom replacement top for your existing canopy frame, provided it's a compatible E-Z UP model.
