E-Z UP partners with Living the Dream Foundation to make dreams come true for music fans with terminal illnesses

NORCO, Calif. | July 5, 2017

International E-Z UP, Inc. is helping make dreams come true for music fans with terminal illnesses by partnering with the Living the Dream Foundation to provide shelter during the Vans Warped Tour Presented By Journey.

E-Z UP, the No. 1 Instant Shelter® brand in the world, has provided a custom shelter for use by kids and young adults participating in the foundation’s Dream Day campaign. Through the campaign, the foundation offers music fans ages 10 to 30 with terminal diseases a five-star VIP experience at concerts and festivals along with the chance to meet their favorite artists after the show.

To help with that effort, E-Z UP has supplied the foundation with a custom 10-foot by 10-foot Eclipse™ shelter that features custom Living the Dream Foundation logo and graphics along with the E-Z UP logo. The shelter provides protection from the elements, which is “vital” for those living with terminal illnesses and undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy, said Patricia Weingart, the foundation’s vice president of operations.

She said Dream Day guests are able to have a cool, shady spot to enjoy the concert or recover from being out in the sun during the performances.

“I cannot stress enough how lifesaving the E-Z UP tents are for our guests out on the tour,” Weingart said.

She said 15 Dream Day guests along with their friends and family are going to be under the Eclipse™ shelter during this year’s Warped Tour. The traveling tour kicked off in June and runs through Aug. 6, featuring more than 70 top bands including The Adolescents, Fire From the Gods and Jule Vera.

The Living the Dream Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded 10 years ago by LEFTY band member Scottie Somers, who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 3 months old. The foundation’s goal is to “bridge the music industry together with fans who have terminal diseases to help change their perspective on life through the healing power of music.”

E-Z UP proudly sponsors nonprofit organizations that are making a positive difference.
