E-Z UP receives SGIA Golden Image Award for digital printing seven years running
NORCO, Calif., Oct. 29, 2019
International E-Z UP, Inc. has become a seven-time Golden Image Award winner after receiving two gold awards from the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association for excellence in digital printing.
E-Z UP, the original and still No. 1 choice of Instant Shelter® products in the world, also continues to be the industry leader in digital printing as affirmed by the company’s two most recent gold awards. E-Z UP earned its seventh consecutive win during Printing United, held Oct. 23 – 25 in Dallas, TX.
E-Z UP received the top honor for its submissions “Dreams Come to Life” in the Retail Displays/Exhibits category and “Mother Nature” in the Advertising Specialty/Promotional Products category.
“Dreams Come to Life” is a freestanding banner featuring whimsical story book characters and backdrops emerging from the pages and merging into a dream-like, vibrant setting.
Displayed on a mini-shelter, “Mother Nature” features the color and majestic beauty found in the many facets of nature that surround us.
Two additional submissions received recognition as well. “La Catrina”, a Dia de los Muertos inspired banner won a Silver award in the Banners category. “Play Like a Champion”, a series of three roll up banners designed to be displayed together to create an action-packed team sports theme, took home an honorable mention in the same category.
“E-Z UP is proud to be recognized by SGIA for the seventh year in a row in both the Retail Displays/Exhibits and Advertising Specialty/Promotional Products categories,” said Eric Hernandez, E-Z UP President. “It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team who embody the quality standard that is synonymous with the E-Z UP® brand.”
Johnny Shell, SGIA’s vice president of print technology and training, said E-Z UP is among the top specialty printers the competition has ever seen in terms of quality and capability.
“Several judges said the quality of entries this year was far above what they had seen in the past and choosing winners was extremely difficult,” Shell said.
This year’s SGIA competition featured about 100 companies from around the world and several hundreds of competition submissions, which are judged on technical accomplishments such as the level of difficulty and quality of execution.
